Port Mathurin

Port Mathurin is the main city of the island, located on the north side. The market is a must for its vibrant atmosphere and plethora of local products, souvenirs and beautiful paintings. You will also find a great selection of restaurants/cafes, only a walking distance from the market.

Nature Reserves

The Grande Montagne Natural Reserve, centrally located, will give you a glimpse of the ongoing conservation efforts and reforestation projects.

Ile Aux Cocos is another natural reserve that will take your breath away with its beautiful beaches and unique bird population. It is only accessible by boat.

View Points

There are several picture worthy spots around the island. We would recommend Mt Limon, the highest point of the island. It's a smooth and relatively short climb to the top

If you're looking for a great view of Port Mathurin, Marie Reine de Rodrigues is a great location to consider.
